hey I saw you're in Bogota / Colombia traveling. very cool, I was just there for two weeks last month. I saw that you're already receiving some negative advice about getting around but I want to reassure you that street smarts will keep you safe. La Candelaria is a cool section to explore and all the taxis I took were pleasant, the drivers were "muy amable" and I never had any problems. I'd be happy to give you more tips - just email me. Only problem was actually in Taganga of all places… three guys tried grabing my wifes bag at night whilst pretending they were carrying a gun (clearly wasn’t) we just kept walking and they left us alone…
